How to disable Find My iPhone?

Before restoring data back to your iPhone or to a new iPhone, please make sure you have disabled Find My iPhone on your iPhone. The following guide will whows you how to disable Find My iPhone step by step:

For iPhone with iOS 13 or above
For iPhone with iOS 10, iOS 11, iOS 12
For iPhone with iOS 8, iOS 9
For iPhone with iOS 7
For iPhone with iOS 6
For iPhone with iOS 5
For iPhone with iOS 4

For iPhone with iOS 13 or above

1 Go to Settings on your iPhone.

2 Tap your Acount Name in the Settings page.

3 Tap Find My option.

4 Tap Find my iPhone option.

5 If you see that Find my iPhone is turned on, tap it to turn it OFF.

Done!

For iPhone with iOS 10, iOS 11, iOS 12

1 Go to Settings on your iPhone.

2 Tap your Acount Name in the Settings page.

3 Tap your iCloud option.

4 Tap your Find my iPhone option.

5 If you see that Find my iPhone is turned on, tap it to turn it OFF.

Done!

For iPhone with iOS 8 and iOS 9

1 Go to Settings on your iPhone.

2 Tap iCloud in the Settings menu.

3 If you see that Find my iPhone is turned on, tap it to turn it off.

4 A pop up window will appear where you'll need to enter your Apple ID password. Then, tap Turn off to confirm.

5 Done!

For iPhone with iOS 7

1 Open Settings icon on your device’s home screen.

2 Tap iCloud in the Settings menu.

3 If you see that Find my iPhone is turned on, tap it to turn it off.

4 A pop up window will appear where you'll need to enter your Apple ID password. Then, tap Turn off to confirm.

5 Done!

For iPhone with iOS 6

1 From the home screen, select Settings.
2 Select Privacy.
3 Select Location Services.
4 Drag the Location Services switch to the On position.
5 Select Find My iPhone.
6 From Find My iPhone, drag the "switch" to Off.
   Note: Find My iPhone is enabled if the switch is set to On.
7 If prompted, select Allow.

For iPhone with iOS 5

1 From the home screen, select Settings.
2 Select Privacy.
3 Select Location Services.
4 Drag the Location Services switch to the On position.
5 Select Find My iPhone.
6 From Find My iPhone, drag the "switch" to Off.
   Note: Find My iPhone is enabled if the switch is set to On.
7 If prompted, select Allow.

For iPhone with iOS 4

1 From the home screen, select Settings.
2 Select General.
3 Select Location Services.
4 Drag the Location Services switch to the On position.
5 Select Find My iPhone.
6 From Find My iPhone, drag the "switch" to Off.
   Note: Find My iPhone is enabled if the switch is set to On.
7 If prompted, select Allow.
